Law Students Anonymous Student Organization


LAW STUDENTS ANONYMOUS (LSA) was established in the fall of 2003 at SOUTH TEXAS COLLEGE OF LAW in association with The Office of Academic Assistance and Student Counseling with the following objectives:

(1) To provide a weekly support group for those students who may need to receive the help of a group in dealing with problems such as substance abuse or other stressors.

(2) Provide through the use of cooperative agreements with professional organizations, a system of assessment and referral for those students whose problems lie deeper than what a support group can provide.

(3) To provide informational programs to the Faculty, Students and Staff on topics appropriate to the goals of the program such as identifying substance abuse or coping with stress.

(4) To provide a help line.

(5) Act as a liaison to the Texas Lawyers Assistance Program.
